Post Download: India map
Being a long time Colonization fan, i decided to make a map for the other side of the colonial empires: India.

Click here for an overview of the map (Spoiler warning)

Some information on this map:
- Landmass includes East Asia, Indonesian archipelago, Australia and New Zealand.
- Portugal (green) replaces France as european power
- Natives include: China, Tibet, the Mughal empire, Malay, Majapahit, Papua, Aboriginal and Maori.
- The map has been rotated about 110 degrees counterclockwise to keep all notable areas in decent scale and explorers arrive from the correct angle. (Spain being an exception)
- New Zealand was moved closer to Australia to improve scale
- The zip file contains .TXT files to give all powers and tribes the correct names, city locations and references.

Download the map here: http://www.mcfretn.nl/Col_India.zip
Remember to make backups of your original game files!

Have fun!

:-) They're not *that* kind of Indians. <HUGE GRIN>

Thanks, I think I'll try it out even though I'm sure it's not quite right. India wasn't quite a stone age civilization. Should be amusing though.

I've downloaded this map, and it looks quite interesting. However, I have had a problem with the tribes being located in the correct places. I have downloaded the text file for this, and they have the correct names, but their locations are out of whack. For example, the Mughal are often all over the Asian continent and the Chinese are then bumped to Philippines. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I remeber having the same problem with this when I first tried it out. Not sure where the problem is. The map editor "readme" file says to create a *.mpp file if you want the locations to be historically accurate, but I've had no problem with the Americas map locations so I don't know. I would have to look at it another time to find out, will let you know if I find the answer.
